How Grade Matter works

Grade Matter turns the process of calculating and submitting grades for a whole course into a quick, automatic, and less error-prone procedure, which only takes a few steps to perform.

Step 1

Capture assessment marks in the Learning Management System

Start by entering your students’ assessment marks into your university’s Learning Management System throughout the semester as you have done previously.

Step 2

Automatically calculate final marks and grades

At the end of semester, Grade Matter will pull those results and automatically calculate the final mark and grade based on the assessment marks and curriculum data (like assessment weighting).

Step 3

Review and moderate final marks and grades

Review your students’ final grades and make appropriate changes or leave comments where you need to.

Step 4

Submit for approval

Simply click one button to submit all the grades for your course for review and approval by the Faculty Assessment Board.

Step 5

Faculty Assessment Board approves grades for publishing to the Student Information System

After submitting your students’ grades through Grade Matter, your university’s Faculty Assessment Board can then approve them to be published to the Student Information System.
